Fishing on Coll is unspoilt and varied. There are numerous small trout lochs for starters. Sea Fishing from the rocks or the big pier - where the ferry berths - can be fun, but for real action it is necessary to get offshore. Good numbers of saithe and pollack - or lithe, as they are called here - are to be had, just a few hundred yards out. Even more exciting are the mackerel shoals, when they are in. A rod is not necessary, just a handline with some feathered hooks does perfectly.
