Bomber Long A
The Bomber Long A is a versatile slender minnow lure that catches a wide variety of gamefish from bass to trout to walleyes and northern pike. This high-floating hard-plastic jerkbait features a wide "X" swimming action and an erratic darting action when twitched.
Long A Fish
The Bomber Long A is one of the most versatile lures because it can be cast or trolled, and color patterns were designed to match the technique and species sought. For instance, the Mother of Pearl color pattern is extremely popular for trolling for salmon and trout, and the Baby Pike color excels at catching trophy muskies and bass in the North Country. New color patterns were designed to mimic a variety of baitfish, making them effective for walleyes, bass, pike, trout and even European gamefish like barramundi and toothy inshore fish, such as redfish and speckled trout.
Fishing The Bomber Long A
The Bomber Long A is one of those lures that catches fish with a variety of retrieves and styles. For largemouth and smallmouth bass, casting and bringing it back with a "twitch-twitch-pause" cadence is extremely productive. For trout, depending on the water you're fishing, take the Long A when cast and retrieved at a slow, constant speed, and when trolled on a long line. Shallow-water walleyes, barramundi and similar gamefish can be caught casting or trolling, although trolling the bait on leadcore line or behind a downrigger is required for deeper-holding fish.
